The restyling project of a residential building, originally constructed between the 1960s and 1970s, aims to revitalize and modernize the entire structure, giving it new life and increased functionality. This intervention goes beyond simple renovation; it includes an in-depth recalibration of the internal spaces with the goal of optimizing the layout and improving residents' quality of life.
The new internal flow study led to modifications in the staircase connecting to the upper floors, allowing for the creation of an open space on the main raised ground floor that serves as the living area. The main entrance creates an independent zone that houses a new service bathroom and a small wardrobe. The bathroom in the sleeping area was enlarged, as it resulted from combining the existing bathroom with the original master bedroom bathroom.
A new opening, featuring a sliding glass, leads to the private garden on the west side, bringing natural light into the open space area. This intervention resulted in a redesign of the entire west facade, creating a sort of metal canopy that connects the main openings of the facade, emphasizing the entrance to the home and making it more protected.
The renovation also included the rebuilding and redesign of the entire external area, including the paving and the management of level differences (the ground floor is raised relative to the surrounding garden). Specifically, the reorganization of the internal spaces aims to create brighter and more open areas, fostering better usability for the inhabitants. This external upgrade will feature a contemporary and sustainable design, capable of integrating natural and functional elements, thus contributing to a residential environment that promotes well-being and social interaction among its residents.
