Casa Maiocchi

Location: Milan, Italy
Year: 2024
Architects: Studio Cava
Photography by: Carolina Gheri

This renovation transforms a 200 m² apartment in Milan’s Porta Venezia district into a refined, light-filled home that balances heritage and modern living. The layout was carefully reimagined to improve flow and proportions, creating a rhythm of open and enclosed spaces.

Once the layout was defined, the project was refined in every detail, becoming like a tailor-made suit for the clients. Studio Cava guided them in the selection of all finishes and furnishings, and designed several custom-made elements integrated into the architecture, such as the fireplace clad in Calacatta Viola marble.

High-end materials like Rosso Levanto marble and the iconic 'Nuvolette' wallpaper characterize the entrance area, reflecting the owners’ refined taste while blending seamlessly into the historic setting.

Several antique furniture pieces were recovered and reinterpreted with more contemporary colors and lines, contributing to a final result with timeless charm. Text description by the architects.
