Casa BL is a hidden residence tucked away within a quiet, shaded courtyard in Pavia. The spaces of this 18th-century apartment have been reimagined and carefully designed to make the most of its surfaces and heights. The living area features a sculptural block that integrates the kitchen, staircase, and mezzanine within it, along with a variety of storage compartments. It’s an architecture within the architecture that, like a stage set, articulates the living area by defining its various zones: the intimate, lower reading nook and entrance area; the dining and conversation space; and the home office, which overlooks the room from above.
