Set on a pronounced hillside, the house is carefully embedded into the existing topography, allowing the terrain to define both its placement and spatial organisation. Despite the steep gradient, the plot lies within a secondary development zone, giving the building a discreet yet deliberate presence in its setting.
The two-storey structure is composed of a robust masonry base anchored to the slope, with a timber volume placed above it. The topography becomes the organising principle: a wall aligned parallel to the gradient divides the house into a valley-facing living area at the front and a rear sequence of service spaces, including the entrance, bathrooms, and technical rooms.
Externally, the timber cladding is restrained and quietly composed. Colour, windows, and roof form a cohesive architectural unit. The detailing remains precise and reduced to the essentials. The house avoids a formal gesture, instead establishing its character through the clarity of its structure and the calm, matter-of-fact presence of its materiality and detailing.
