[John Hejduk]

New York architect, poet, and educator John Hejduk, was Dean at the Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture for 25 years. He is highly regarded for his contribution to the discipline in terms of both pedagogy and design.

“His investigations of freehand ‘figure/object’ allowed him to express his own poetry and gaze beyond the logical world.” Says Peter Cook.

The structure which was originally an element from his “Victims” project and was originally designed for Berlin. However, it was erected by staff and students of the Oslo School of Architecture and placed on a site that had been heavily used by the Nazi when occupying Norway.
