The non-profit association VIACTI called on us to create a new type of gym.
Its objective: the opening of the first adapted gym in Paris.
Its vision: to make physical activity more accessible and beneficial to those who need it.
On this project, we approached the challenge of a very limited budget with originality. We found in the limitations and restrictions a source of inspiration to create the identity of the space.
We turned the name of the place into a real playground. The «terrain» created from a blue resin floor extends its limits beyond its horizontal surface and also covers the walls surrounding the space.
An adapted bathroom gives shape to the main volume. This volume, clad in wood, was designed for the installation of the espaliers. In this way we have managed to transform the only resources of the space: a floor and walls, into play tools. Text description by the architects,
