[Giuseppe Perugini]

In the late 1960s, Giuseppe Perugini, his wife Uga de Plaisant, and later their son Raynaldo Perugini, experimented with novel construction techniques in the brutalist style. They used the holiday home as an opportunity to experiment with architectural techniques and different forms of living space.

The home is an extraordinary and eclectic mix of shapes and geometries, materials, mass and volume. A spherical compound sits within a frame of concrete beams boxes, while inside a series of transparent window boxes multiplies throughout the space.

The house fell into disrepair and abandonment after the architects’ deaths and has since been vandalized and left to deteriorate.
